Owen had a great weekend this past weekend. As it rained Friday Daddy could not work so he got to stay home and spend the day with Owen. They went to Costco, visted Grandpa, and had a nice nap together in the afternoon. On Saturday morning we got up bright and early and drove to the Coulson's property on Turtle Lake (close to where we went the weekend before). The weather wasen't the greatest but we were able to go out in the boat and spend lots of time outdoors. Owen had fun on his first boat ride. I think he was a little scared and it was cold, plus he didn't particularly like the life jacket he had to wear, but I think he still liked watching Paul and Mary and the boys water sky and wakeboard. At one point we turned the boat off in the middle of a deep part of the lake and all jumped in and went swimming.

Daddy caught 2 fish! We ate it for supper Sunday night and it was yummy!
When we got home from up North we quickly got showered and changed and went to Owen's friend Olivia's 1st Birthday party.

Nick and I have been noticing that Owen is really picking up on things lately. While we were at the Coulson's property this weekend the older boys were playing with his Dora Ball kicking it back and forth like they were kicking a soccer ball. They probably did that for a few hours. Owen must have been watching because he just went up to it and starting kicking it. We had not seen him do that before. He also took Nick's keys the other day and walked towards the door and put them up by the door knob as if he was trying to unlock the door. It is so cute and funny to watch. He also took my hair brush and I said "brush Mommy's hair" and he actually put the brush to my hair and brushes my hair, then does it to his own hair. It is so amazing to see him pick these things up.
