Owen now has 6 teeth! He has 4 on top and 2 on the bottom. The top teeth are really coming in and we now brush his teeth. We got him his own tooth brush and Dora toothpaste. We bath Owen every night (he just gets so dirty every day!) and he loves his bath time. For some reason he just loves to drink bath water. Its kind of gross but he wont stop doing it. He takes big gulps out of his toys and stuff, lol. He is no longer in the baby bath anymore (hasen't been for a while now) and loves to stand up in the tub. We try to get him to sit down but up he goes. Tonight he started blowing bubbles. It was so neat to see. Nick was showing him how and he just did it. He was so proud of himself!
He is getting more and more comfortable at daycare too. Today he just ran right in to Sue Sue's smiling and everything. Some days he still gets fussy when i try to drop him off, but more often he is ok now. But today at daycare Sue Sue wrote in his journal that he had to have time out because he was hitting! She said he full out slapped another little boy Connor. His first time out!! bad boy. :-) Actually he has been a really good boy lately. I took him to the mall yesturday and he was so well behaved. He sat in his stroller and let Mommy shop and try on clothes for 2 hours! He played with his toys, ate his snacks and talked to me as I shopped. In some of the change rooms I let him get out and he would walk up to the mirror and talk to himself in the mirror and give himself kisses. So adorable!
At daycare this week it was Graduation for 3 of the kids who are going to full time school in Sept. It was so cute- they had graduation caps and had a ceramony. They all got large photo albums of their years at Sue Sue's and a picture frame that said Friends and had all the kids in the pic, and a T-shirt that said "I am a Sue Sue kid" and a picture of all the kids. It was really nice. We all had ice cream after. All the parents were there- it was fun.
This week Owen had a bit of a rash. We don't know what it was but its pretty well gone now. It didn't seem to bother him but he had little red bumps on his back and arms and legs. They were a bit raised. it was weird.
Owen is really growing! his head is huge. I cannot find a hat that will fit him. he hates ball caps and those types of hats. he will only wear sunhats and the ones with the tie around the neck is best as he can't rip them off. however there are none to be found to fit his giant head! He is also about to move up to size 6 diapers. This is the largest size that diapers come in. They are meant for 35lbs+ and Owen is not that heavy yet, but he has ruined 3 outfits this week at daycare due to poop explosions, and when that happens you know its time to change to the next size diapers. However I don't know if there are many almost 14 month olds in size 6 diapers! ahhh
